Training and skill-sharing workshops are offered to organisations and staff working in the mental health and trauma sector to assist them in learning how to integrate the importance of the body, ritual and the arts within their process.
Below are pictures from a training session for carers who work in a care home with advanced dementia in how to use the art and the creative process within their activities. The project focused on using Mandalas and their benefits when working with memory and time.
Through the process of art-making and the introduction of basic psycho-social skills, the carers became attuned to and more sensitive in understanding and relating to the residents. Moreover, neuro-scientific evidence has proven the positive effects on the brain when one engages in sensorial creative processes.
